Part of Cheyenne Concepcion’s ongoing Gates series, The Gates No. 6 explores a hybrid weaving technique that combines industrial materials with textile processes. Hand-woven mylar is interlaced with nylon netting to create a geometric composition that captures light, reflection, and shifting color from its surrounding environment. The series is inspired by the barriers we encounter across internal and external landscapes, with the concept of “gates” serving as a reminder that boundaries can also hold openings and moments of passage.
